- Administer radiation treatments to patients with cancer and other diseases according to established protocols and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and assess patients' responses to radiation therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatment plans, dosages, and patient progress.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Educate patients and their families on the radiation therapy process and potential side effects.
- Maintain and operate radiation therapy equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
- Document and report any adverse reactions or complications during treatment to the appropriate healthcare providers.
- Stay current with advancements and developments in radiation therapy techniques and technologies.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during treatment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with research projects related to radiation therapy.
- Attend trainings, workshops, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiation Therapy.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Environment.
Strong Knowledge Of Radiation Therapy Principles And Techniques, Including Treatment Planning And Delivery.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
