- Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring accurate and timely medication dispensing and counseling.
- Contribute to the advancement of the field of pharmacy through participation in research projects and staying up-to-date with current developments in the field.
- Collaborate with experienced pharmacists and physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Gain hands-on experience in a variety of pharmacy settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and specialty areas.
- Attend and actively participate in educational and training programs, including lectures, conferences, and workshops.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth by actively seeking out opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the Yale New Haven Health System and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.
- Act as a role model for pharmacy students and interns by providing guidance and mentorship.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records and participate in medication reconciliation processes.
- Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.

Completion Of Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Institution: The First And Foremost Qualification For A Pharmacy Resident At Yale New Haven Health System Is The Completion Of A Pharmd Degree From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received The Necessary Education And Training In Pharmacy Practice.
Licensed Or Eligible For Licensure In The State Of Connecticut: All Pharmacy Residents At Yale New Haven Health System Must Be Licensed Or Eligible For Licensure In The State Of Connecticut. This Ensures That They Are Able To Practice Pharmacy In Accordance With State Regulations And Guidelines.
Completion Of An Ashp-Accredited Pgy1 Residency Program: Candidates For The Pharmacy Resident Position At Yale New Haven Health System Must Have Completed An Ashp-Accredited Pgy1 Residency Program. This Ensures That They Have Received Comprehensive Training In Pharmacy Practice And Are Well-Prepared For The Rigors Of A Pgy2 Program.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Pharmacy Resident At Yale New Haven Health System, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Work Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.
