  1. Provide compassionate care to pediatric patients by attending to their physical, emotional, and developmental needs.
  2. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for pediatric patients.
  3. Assist with daily activities and tasks, such as feeding, bathing, and administering medication, under the direction of a registered nurse.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to facilitate a positive and reassuring environment.
  5. Monitor and document changes in patients' condition, report any concerns or issues to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, following infection control protocols and safety regulations.
  7. Provide emotional support and comfort to pediatric patients and their families during difficult times.
  8. Attend training and educational sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in pediatric care.
  9. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and patient privacy.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and care delivery processes.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Pediatric Patient Care Associate At Yale New Haven Health System Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Effectively Communicate And Understand Medical Instructions.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Candidates With A Cna Certification Have Completed A State-Approved Training Program And Have Demonstrated Their Competency In Basic Patient Care Skills. This Certification Is Highly Valued By Yale New Haven Health System For Pediatric Patient Care Associates.

  • Previous Experience In A Pediatric Healthcare Setting: Ideal Candidates For The Pediatric Patient Care Associate Position At Yale New Haven Health System Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Pediatric Healthcare Setting. This Could Include Experience As A Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Or In A Similar Role.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Pediatric Patient Care Associate, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Providing Basic Life Support In Emergency Situations. Having A Bls Certification From The American Heart Association Or American Red Cross Is A Necessary Qualification For The Job.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Working With Pediatric Patients Requires Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
