- Dispensing and verifying accurate medication orders for pediatric patients in the emergency department
- Conducting medication reconciliation and counseling for pediatric patients and their families
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Monitoring and managing medication therapy for pediatric patients, including dosage adjustments and interactions
- Providing drug information and education to healthcare team members and patients
- Maintaining accurate and complete patient records and documentation
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintaining inventory and ordering medications and supplies as needed
- Responding to emergency situations and providing necessary support and interventions
- Staying updated on new medications, treatments, and developments in pediatric pharmacy practice
- Adhering to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of job responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited School Of Pharmacy
Current Pharmacist License In The State Of Connecticut
Board Certification In Pediatric Pharmacy (Bcpp) Or Completion Of A Pediatric Pharmacy Residency Program
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pediatric Emergency Department Or Critical Care Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Medication Dosing, Safety, And Interactions, As Well As Experience With Emergency Medications And Protocols
