  1. Provide expert critical care to pediatric patients during air and ground transport.
  2. Assess and monitor patient condition, vital signs, and response to treatment during transport.
  3. Administer medications and perform necessary interventions to stabilize and improve patient condition.
  4. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and emergency responders, to ensure coordinated and efficient care.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
  6. Ensure safety of patients during transport by adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
  7. Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to provide high-quality care.
  8. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  9. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during transport.
  10. Stay current on advancements and best practices in pediatric critical care and incorporate them into practice.
  11. Maintain all necessary certifications and licenses required for the role.
  12. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in patient care.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  14. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  15. Remain calm and composed during emergency situations and effectively manage crisis situations.
  16. Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Connecticut

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Critical Care Nursing

  • Certification In Advanced Pediatric Life Support (Apls) And/Or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals)

  • Previous Experience In Air Medical Transport Or Critical Care Ground Transport

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work In High-Stress And Unpredictable Situations.
