  1. Provide critical care nursing services to pediatric patients in need of urgent air transport.
  2. Collaborate with a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals, including physicians, paramedics, and other nurses, to provide comprehensive and effective patient care.
  3. Assess, monitor, and evaluate the condition of pediatric patients during air transport and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  4. Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a coordinated and patient-centered approach to care.
  7. Demonstrate expertise in pediatric critical care nursing, including knowledge of advanced life support techniques and equipment.
  8. Stay current on industry developments and advancements in pediatric critical care nursing, and implement evidence-based practices in patient care.
  9. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures during air transport, including the safe operation of medical equipment and emergency response protocols.
  10. Provide emotional support to patients and families during transport, and promote a compassionate and caring environment.
  11. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  12. Contribute to the overall success of the flight team by actively participating in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  13. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and accreditation standards.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice, and maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to continuing education and professional development, and participate in relevant training opportunities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Connecticut.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Pediatric Critical Care Nursing.

  • Certification In Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls).

  • Prior Experience In Flight Nursing And/Or Transport Of Critically Ill Pediatric Patients Preferred.
