1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to Yale New Haven Health System with a friendly and professional demeanor.
2. Assist patients in navigating through the healthcare facility by providing directions and escorting them to their designated locations.
3. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during their transport by using proper equipment and techniques.
4. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare staff to ensure timely and efficient transport.
5. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality while interacting with patients and their families.
6. Monitor patients' well-being and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare staff.
7. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines while performing job duties.
8. Demonstrate empathy and patience when dealing with patients, particularly those who may be anxious or have special needs.
