- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to Yale New Haven Health System with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist patients in navigating through the healthcare facility by providing directions and escorting them to their designated locations.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during their transport by using proper equipment and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare staff to ensure timely and efficient transport.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality while interacting with patients and their families.
- Monitor patients' well-being and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare staff.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines while performing job duties.
- Demonstrate empathy and patience when dealing with patients, particularly those who may be anxious or have special needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient transports and any incidents that may occur.
- Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other hospital staff to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Strive to provide the highest quality of care and customer service to all patients and visitors.
- Continuously seek ways to improve patient experience and make suggestions for process improvements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or hospital administration.
