- Provide direct patient care to adult patients with mental health disorders, including assisting with daily activities and promoting overall well-being.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Build positive relationships with patients and their families to promote trust and open communication.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, following infection control guidelines and protocols.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and preferences are addressed and respected.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge of best practices and advances in mental health care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality regulations when handling patient information.

Certification Or Licensure As A Patient Care Technician Or Nursing Assistant.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working With Adult Psychiatric Patients.
Knowledge Of Psychiatric Disorders And Treatments, Including Medication Administration.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients And Healthcare Team Members.
Ability To Handle Stressful And Emotionally Challenging Situations, As Well As Maintain Patient Confidentiality And Adhere To Ethical Standards.
