As a Patient Account Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our patients' accounts, helping to facilitate timely and efficient billing processes.   1. Review and analyze patient accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  2. Identify and resolve any discrepancies in patient accounts.
  3. Collaborate with billing and coding teams to ensure timely and accurate billing processes.
  4. Maintain knowledge of insurance and billing regulations to ensure compliance.
  5. Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve any billing issues.
  6. Update patient records and account information as needed.
  7. Monitor and track accounts receivable to ensure timely payments.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  9. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  10. Work closely with other team members to meet departmental goals and objectives.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  12. Stay updated on industry changes and best practices related to patient accounts.
  13. Assist with training new team members on patient account procedures.
  14. Comply with all Yale New Haven Health System policies and procedures.
  15. Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Billing And Coding Procedures And Regulations.

  • Proficiency In Using Electronic Health Record Systems And Billing Software.
