Welcome to Yale New Haven Health System! We are currently looking for a passionate and driven New Graduate Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. This is a unique opportunity to begin your nursing career in one of the top hospitals in the country, with a comprehensive residency program designed to support and develop new RNs. We are seeking candidates who are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our smallest patients and their families.   1. Provide exceptional care to neonatal patients and their families in the NICU.
  2. Participate in the comprehensive residency program designed to support and develop new RNs.
  3. Continuously learn and grow in the field of neonatal nursing.
  4. Demonstrate a strong passion for neonatal care and a dedication to providing high-quality care.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate and updated patient records.
  7. Educate and support families of neonatal patients, providing necessary resources and information.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and safety guidelines.
  9. Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities.
  10. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing the hospital and the NICU team with integrity and compassion.
  12. Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide evidence-based care.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  15. Embrace a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Job Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification From The American Heart Association.

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited Nursing Program.

  • Current And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) Licensure In The State Of Connecticut.

  • Completion Of A Clinical Rotation Or Coursework In Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu) Nursing.
