- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the daily appointment schedule.
- Verify patient insurance and collect necessary co-pays or fees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Communicate with patients regarding any necessary paperwork or forms.
- Provide information and assistance to patients and visitors, including directions and general hospital information.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve any patient concerns or complaints.
- Keep reception area and waiting room clean and organized.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Required; Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree Preferred In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Medical Office Setting, Preferably In A Receptionist Or Administrative Role.
Proficient In Using Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems, Such As Epic, And Strong Computer Skills Including Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients And Healthcare Professionals In A Professional And Empathetic Manner.
Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Data Entry And Scheduling.
