  1. Conduct microbiology tests: Perform a variety of diagnostic tests accurately and efficiently using advanced laboratory equipment and techniques.
  2. Analyze and report results: Interpret test results and accurately report findings to healthcare professionals to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
  3. Maintain laboratory equipment: Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and functioning correctly to produce accurate results.
  4. Follow safety protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean working environment for yourself and others.
  5. Record and maintain data: Record test results and maintain accurate records of all laboratory procedures and findings.
  6. Collaborate with team members: Work collaboratively with other laboratory associates, medical professionals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
  7. Quality control: Monitor and maintain quality control measures to ensure accuracy and precision in test results.
  8. Stay updated with industry standards: Stay updated with the latest developments in microbiology and adhere to industry standards and best practices.
  9. Troubleshoot issues: Identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during testing, equipment maintenance, or data recording.
  10. Maintain confidentiality: Respect and maintain patient confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  11. Adhere to regulatory guidelines: Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA.
  12. Continuous learning: Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of microbiology.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Laboratory Technician (Mlt).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Clinical Microbiology Laboratory.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Regulations And Protocols.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Record And Interpret Test Results.
