
Infection Preventionist

- Monitor and assess infection control practices throughout the healthcare facility.
- Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to educate and train on infection control practices.
- Stay updated on the latest infection control guidelines and communicate any changes to relevant staff.
- Investigate and report any potential or confirmed infections within the facility.
- Work closely with the quality improvement team to develop and implement strategies for preventing and controlling infections.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all infection control activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors regarding infection control protocols and procedures.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss infection control concerns and make recommendations for improvement.
- Respond to any infection control emergencies and take appropriate measures to contain and prevent further spread.
- Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to stay updated on best practices and regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all infection control activities.
- Act as a resource and consultant for all infection control-related issues.
- Continuously evaluate and improve infection control processes to ensure the highest level of safety for patients, staff, and visitors.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Microbiology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Infection Control And Prevention In A Healthcare Setting.
Certification In Infection Control (Cic) Preferred.
Strong Knowledge Of Infection Control Practices, Epidemiology, And Infectious Diseases.
Excellent Communication, Collaboration, And Leadership Skills To Effectively Educate And Train Healthcare Staff On Infection Prevention Protocols.
