Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Environmental Associate for our Neonatal ICU unit. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a clean and safe environment for our most vulnerable patients.   1. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and their families in the Neonatal ICU unit.
  2. Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
  3. Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly stocked and organized.
  4. Adhere to infection control protocols and procedures to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria.
  5. Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  6. Follow all established protocols and guidelines for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the unit.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, responding to any requests or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families at all times.
  10. Attend all mandatory training and educational sessions to stay updated on infection control practices and safety protocols.
  11. Act as a role model for good hygiene practices and promote a culture of cleanliness within the unit.
  12. Utilize appropriate cleaning products and tools to ensure effective and efficient cleaning.
  13. Assist with special cleaning projects and tasks as needed.
  14. Follow all departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  15. Communicate with unit staff to ensure cleaning tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  16. Maintain accurate records of cleaning and disinfecting activities.
  17. Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to the appropriate personnel.
  18. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while performing job duties.
  19. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  20. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development.

Job Qualifications
