
Housekeeper/Environmental Associate - Neonatal ICU

- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and their families in the Neonatal ICU unit.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly stocked and organized.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and procedures to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all established protocols and guidelines for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the unit.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, responding to any requests or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families at all times.
- Attend all mandatory training and educational sessions to stay updated on infection control practices and safety protocols.
- Act as a role model for good hygiene practices and promote a culture of cleanliness within the unit.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning products and tools to ensure effective and efficient cleaning.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and tasks as needed.
- Follow all departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Communicate with unit staff to ensure cleaning tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning and disinfecting activities.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while performing job duties.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Previous Experience In Housekeeping, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Proper Cleaning Techniques And Equipment Usage
