Job Description

Yale New Haven Health System is seeking a Health Physics Technician with experience in radiation safety and protection to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of health physics, radiation protection, and experience working in a healthcare setting. If you possess excellent communication and organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and an eagerness to learn, we want to hear from you!The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to ensure staff and patient safety from the risks associated with radiation exposure. Furthermore, they will perform inspections, calibrations, and surveys to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.Required qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Health Physics or related field- 3+ years of experience in radiation protection and safety- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards- Excellent communication and organizational skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Willingness to learn and grow professionally
