  1. Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and employees with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with food selection and answering any questions or concerns.
  3. Ensure that the dining area is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  4. Maintain a high level of attention to detail in order to accurately process orders and payments.
  5. Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times.
  6. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders.
  7. Monitor and respond to customer feedback and address any concerns promptly.
  8. Adapt to changing situations and adjust service accordingly to meet the needs of customers.
  9. Assist with maintaining inventory and restocking supplies as needed.
  10. Uphold the values and mission of Yale New Haven Health System through exceptional customer service and professionalism.
  11. Attend and participate in training and meetings as required.
  12. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with team members and other departments.
  13. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: A Food Service Ambassador At Yale New Haven Health System Should Have Experience In Providing Excellent Customer Service, Whether In A Restaurant, Retail, Or Hospitality Setting. This Includes The Ability To Handle Difficult Situations With Professionalism And A Positive Attitude.

  • Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation: As A Food Service Ambassador, It Is Important To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Food Safety And Sanitation Guidelines To Ensure The Health And Safety Of Patients And Visitors. This Includes Proper Handling, Storage, And Preparation Of Food.

  • Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In A Fast-Paced Hospital Environment. A Food Service Ambassador Should Have Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Interact With Patients, Visitors, And Other Team Members.

  • Ability To Work In A Team: Working In A Hospital Setting Requires Collaboration And Teamwork. A Food Service Ambassador Should Be Able To Work Well With Others, Take Direction, And Contribute To A Positive And Productive Work Environment.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: Hospital Settings Can Be Unpredictable, And A Food Service Ambassador Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Situations And Be Flexible With Their Schedule. This May Include Working Weekends, Holidays, And Rotating Shifts.
