- Accurately and timely capture charges for all healthcare services provided by the organization.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to identify and resolve any discrepancies in billing and coding.
- Ensure compliance with all billing and coding regulations and guidelines.
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure all charges are captured and coded correctly.
- Collaborate with billing and coding staff to address any issues or concerns related to charge capture.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in coding regulations and guidelines to ensure accurate charge capture.
- Communicate effectively with various departments and individuals to ensure proper charge capture processes.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all charge capture activities.
- Participate in training and education programs to improve knowledge and skills related to charge capture.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve charge capture processes and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile charge capture data and identify any discrepancies.
- Generate reports and provide analysis on charge capture data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Proactively identify and report any potential issues or concerns related to charge capture.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate charge capture processes to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided.
- Serve as a resource for colleagues and staff on charge capture processes and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Charge Capture, Revenue Cycle, Or Billing/Coding In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Coding Systems (Cpt, Icd-10), And Healthcare Billing Regulations.
Experience With Electronic Health Record Systems And Charge Capture Software.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Departments And Effectively Train And Educate Staff On Charge Capture Processes.
