
Central Communications Officer

- Develop and implement communication strategies that align with the goals and values of Yale New Haven Health System.
- Serve as a central point of contact for all internal and external communication.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective messaging across all channels.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and competitor communications to inform and improve our own strategies.
- Create and maintain communication materials such as press releases, newsletters, and social media content.
- Manage and maintain relationships with media outlets and other external partners.
- Coordinate and lead crisis communication efforts in collaboration with the Crisis Management Team.
- Develop and maintain a crisis communication plan to ensure timely and effective response to potential emergencies.
- Train and support staff on effective communication techniques and protocols.
- Manage and maintain communication platforms and tools, such as email, intranet, and website.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in the healthcare industry to inform communication strategies.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment while promoting open and transparent communication within the organization.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Yale New Haven Health System, ensuring all communications align with our brand identity and values.
- Continuously evaluate and improve communication processes and strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and other relevant regulations in all communication efforts.
Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Communications Or Public Relations Role, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry.
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills.
Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Projects Simultaneously.
Proficiency In Various Communication Platforms And Software, Including Social Media, Email Marketing, And Content Management Systems.
