
Biomedical Engineering Technician

- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of medical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in medical equipment, including but not limited to imaging systems, diagnostic equipment, and life support systems.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and effective resolution of equipment issues.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in biomedical engineering technology.
- Train and educate staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for all medical equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of new medical equipment.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours equipment emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of medical equipment and make recommendations for improvements.
Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Or Research Setting
Certification As A Biomedical Equipment Technician (Cbet) Or Certified Biomedical Engineering Technician (Cbet) Preferred
Proficiency In Troubleshooting And Repairing A Wide Range Of Medical Equipment
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
