Bed Management Associate

1. Coordinate and manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date bed availability and patient placement information.
3. Communicate effectively with various departments and units to ensure appropriate patient placement and bed utilization.
4. Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to ensure patient needs are met and care is coordinated.
5. Monitor and anticipate bed requirements for upcoming admissions and make necessary arrangements.
6. Update and maintain electronic patient records and bed management systems.
7. Identify and address any issues or delays in patient flow, alerting appropriate personnel as needed.
8. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, addressing any concerns or questions.
9. Participate in daily bed management meetings to discuss and plan for patient placement and capacity management.
10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and safety standards.
11. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance patient flow and decrease wait times.
12. Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
13. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
14. Attend trainings and meetings as required to stay current on bed management processes and procedures.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
