Job Description

Welcome to Yale New Haven Health System, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our patients. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Anesthesia Supply Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the supply of anesthesia equipment and medications for our healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong understanding of medical supply inventory management.   1. Coordinate and manage the supply of anesthesia equipment and medications for all healthcare facilities within the Yale New Haven Health System.
  2. Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of all anesthesia supplies, ensuring that adequate levels are maintained at all times.
  3. Communicate with various departments, including anesthesia, nursing, and purchasing, to ensure timely delivery and availability of supplies.
  4. Monitor and track supply usage and expiration dates, making necessary adjustments to inventory levels and ordering new supplies as needed.
  5. Collaborate with vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of supplies.
  6. Conduct regular audits to ensure proper storage and handling of anesthesia supplies, following all relevant safety and regulatory guidelines.
  7. Train and educate staff on proper supply ordering and management procedures, as well as any changes or updates to supply protocols.
  8. Develop and implement efficient systems and processes for managing anesthesia supplies, with a focus on reducing waste and cost.
  9. Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
  10. Troubleshoot and resolve any supply-related issues or concerns, working closely with department heads and administration to find solutions.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all supply transactions and expenses, providing regular reports to upper management.
  12. Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in anesthesia supply management, making recommendations for improvement or updates as necessary.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication with colleagues and superiors.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Supply Chain Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting

  • Knowledge Of Anesthesia Supplies And Equipment, Including Inventory Management And Ordering Processes

  • Strong Organizational And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Supply Chain Issues

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Healthcare Professionals And Suppliers.
