  1. Manage and maintain Yahoo!'s storage infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve any storage-related issues that may arise.
  3. Monitor and analyze storage usage and make recommendations for optimization and cost-efficiency.
  4. Implement and maintain storage security measures to protect against data breaches.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement storage strategies and solutions.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in storage technology, and make recommendations for improvements.
  7. Create and maintain documentation for storage systems and processes.
  8. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance.
  9. Train and mentor junior storage engineers.
  10. Proactively identify and address potential storage issues before they become critical.
  11. Work closely with vendors to ensure timely and efficient resolution of any storage-related issues.
  12. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including change management processes.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve storage processes and procedures.
  14. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding storage-related updates, projects, and issues.
  15. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Storage Engineering, Preferably In A Large-Scale Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge And Experience With Enterprise Storage Systems Such As Netapp, Emc, Or Hitachi.

  • Experience With Virtualization Technologies Such As Vmware Or Hyper-V.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Troubleshoot Complex Storage Issues.
