Social Media Editor
Yahoo is looking for a versatile social media editor to help manage and execute the day-to-day social strategy for Yahoo’s flagship verticals (Finance, Sports, News, Entertainment, Life). This person will distribute articles and create engaging content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. Manage and maintain daily social presence for Yahoo Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. Work closely with editorial, video, and graphics teams to develop social extensions of original content. Focus on audience growth by programming content that is shareable, encourages engagement and aligns with brand voice. Work with manager to set up data experiments that will allow us to iterate on our social strategy.
2-3 years of digital media experience, ideally in organic social media for an editorial group (paid social campaign experience is a plus).
Experience managing a consumer-facing social page with a large following
Some experience in audience listening and insights reporting
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed to cover live events.
