Job Description

Welcome to Yahoo! We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead our Travel Category team. As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and building strong partnerships within the travel industry. Our ideal candidate has a passion for travel, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven track record of success in sales leadership.   1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive growth within the travel category.
  2. Lead and manage a team of sales professionals to ensure they are motivated, engaged, and equipped to meet their individual and team goals.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners within the travel industry, including hotels, airlines, and tour operators.
  4. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and pitching to potential clients.
  5. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and stay ahead of industry changes.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to create and execute effective sales campaigns.
  7. Communicate regularly with senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights.
  8. Negotiate and close deals with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
  9. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Yahoo's products and services, as well as the travel industry as a whole.
  10. Represent Yahoo at industry events and conferences, showcasing our brand and building relationships with potential clients.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Sales And Account Management Within The Travel Industry. This Should Include A Proven Track Record Of Exceeding Sales Targets And Driving Revenue Growth.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Motivate And Manage A Team Of Sales Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Set Clear Goals And Objectives, Provide Constructive Feedback, And Develop And Mentor Team Members.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of The Travel Market, Including Industry Trends, Competitive Landscape, And Key Players. This Should Also Include A Strong Understanding Of Digital And Mobile Advertising And How It Applies To The Travel Sector.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Clients, Partners, And Internal Stakeholders. This Includes Strong Presentation Skills And The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Concepts And Solutions.

  • Proven Ability To Develop And Execute Successful Sales Strategies, Including Identifying New Business Opportunities, Negotiating Contracts, And Managing The Sales Process From Start To Finish. This Should Also Include Experience In Forecasting And Budgeting To Drive Revenue Growth And Meet Financial Targets.
