
Performance and Kernel Engineer
Identify and resolve system bottlenecks in test and production environments of our content delivery network. Investigate and resolve complex performance issues related to the hardware, software, and operating system components used within our content delivery network environment. Design, develop, maintain and conduct performance tests and benchmarking workflows for the evaluation of new software versions, operating system upgrades, hardware refreshes, and new server componentry. This includes other tasks such as vendor communications and the maintenance and development of a lab environment to be used for hardware evaluation. Develop code to automate the collection and analysis of data from systems under test. Use the results gathered from performance tests and hardware benchmarks to prepare data-driven reports that will be shared with stakeholders and vendors.
Strong skills writing and maintaining Python scripts and libraries.
Broad experience with Linux kernel troubleshooting interfaces
Ability to evaluate systems performance results and participate in analyzing anomalies.
Ability to configure and troubleshoot server hardware (BIOS, PXE, RAID, etc...).
