Job Description

We are looking for stellar talent in the form of technical writers, marketers, creatives and finance whizzes that can contribute to our outstanding team of interns this summer. This internship position will join our Yahoo News Content Curation & Distribution team and will have the opportunity to work with and assist our editorial teams responsible for running the Yahoo News app, website (desktop + mobile destinations), all social media channels (including the Yahoo News TikTok, which has more than 2 million followers!) and a suite of newsletters. Updating daily news offering in the Yahoo News app Learning strategy, best practices for sending news push notifications Newsletter programming and deployment. Will be exposed to meetings/ workflow with our product, engineering and design teams. Opportunity to create content for the Yahoo News TikTok (2M+ followers).

Job Qualifications

  • Should be pursing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies or equivalent

  • Must have related experience from prior media internship or college/ university publication

  • Proficiency in social platforms and online publishing software

  • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of daily news cycle
