Big Data Tools Developer

You will be part of the team that creates Big Data analytics platforms for Yahoo. The team works on query engines such as Presto, Apache Hive and Pig making them perform at Yahoo scale. We work closely with, and belong to, the open source community. You will have engineering ownership in one or more of these projects and will be involved in new feature work, particularly related to supporting big data use cases efficiently using public cloud infrastructure. You will also own improvements on existing query engine code, including participation in design, code reviews, and testing the product. You will participate in agile development processes by planning & estimating work, & participating in daily stand-ups.
