Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Lean Manufacturing Engineer to join the Whirlpool team. This position requires a creative problem solver with experience in process improvement and strong leadership capabilities. The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s manufacturing processes and ensuring they are efficient and cost-effective. The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment. In addition, knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and Lean Manufacturing principles is required. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personnel.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the organization’s manufacturing processes and ensure they are efficient and cost-effective.
  2. Implement process improvement strategies to reduce waste and optimize production.
  3. Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance process efficiency.
  4. Develop systems and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  5. Track and analyze manufacturing performance data and make data-driven decisions to improve operations.
  6. Identify areas of improvement and develop solutions for process optimization.
  7. Train and lead personnel in Lean Manufacturing and quality management systems.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with personnel from other departments.
  9. Monitor and review current processes and suggest improvements when necessary.
  10. Create and maintain accurate records of production, quality assurance, and related processes.
