Job Description

As a Rewind Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our packaging products by operating and maintaining our rewind equipment.   1. Operate and maintain rewind equipment to ensure the efficient production of high-quality packaging products.
  2. Monitor and adjust machine settings to meet production specifications and maintain product consistency.
  3. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the equipment or production process.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety procedures.
  6. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of orders.
  7. Communicate any production issues or concerns to supervisors or maintenance team.
  8. Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control measures.
  9. Keep accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any defects or issues.
  10. Continuously strive for improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements or efficiencies.
  11. Attend training sessions to stay updated on machine operation and safety procedures.
  12. Adhere to production schedules and meet production targets set by management.
  13. Comply with all company policies regarding quality, safety, and environmental regulations.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the company to customers and vendors.
  15. Complete any other duties or tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Rewind Operator At Westrock Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education. This Ensures A Basic Level Of Understanding And Knowledge In Various Subjects That May Be Relevant To The Job.

  • Previous Experience In A Production Or Manufacturing Environment: Prior Experience Working In A Production Or Manufacturing Setting Is Highly Desirable For A Rewind Operator Position. This Experience Will Demonstrate A Familiarity With Operating Machinery And Working In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Printing And Packaging Processes: A Strong Understanding Of Printing And Packaging Processes Is Crucial For A Rewind Operator At Westrock. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Types Of Materials, Printing Techniques, And Quality Control Standards.

  • Attention To Detail: Rewind Operators Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That Finished Products Meet Quality Standards. This Includes The Ability To Spot Errors Or Defects In Materials And Make Necessary Adjustments To The Rewinding Process.

  • Physical Stamina And Dexterity: The Job Of A Rewind Operator Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring Standing For Long Periods Of Time, Lifting And Moving Heavy Materials, And Operating Machinery. Candidates For This Position Should Have Good Physical Stamina And Dexterity To Perform These Tasks Effectively.
