Material Handler 2nd Shift
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Material Handler to join our 2nd shift team at WestRock. - Safely and efficiently move materials throughout the facility to support production operations.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Load and unload materials onto and from trucks, pallets, and shelves.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular inventory counts.
- Ensure materials are properly stored and organized for easy retrieval.
- Communicate with production team to prioritize material movement based on production needs.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Assist with other tasks or duties as needed to support the overall production process.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Attend training and development sessions to improve knowledge and skills.

Previous Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role As A Material Handler Is Required For This Position. This Includes Experience In Operating Forklifts And Other Material Handling Equipment, As Well As Experience In Inventory Management And Warehouse Operations.
Physical Ability: The Job Of A Material Handler Requires Physical Strength And Stamina To Handle And Move Heavy And Bulky Materials. Candidates Must Be Able To Lift Up To 50 Pounds And Stand, Bend, And Walk For Extended Periods Of Time.
Forklift Certification: A Valid Forklift Certification Is A Must-Have For This Position. Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Forklift Safety Procedures And Be Able To Operate The Equipment Efficiently.
Attention To Detail: Material Handlers Are Responsible For Maintaining Accurate Inventory Records And Ensuring The Correct Materials Are Delivered To The Production Line. Attention To Detail And Strong Organizational Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Team Player: As A Material Handler, You Will Be Working Closely With Other Team Members And Departments To Ensure The Smooth Flow Of Materials. The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Work Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced Environment Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
