Job Description

Are you a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician with a passion for electrical systems? Look no further! WestRock is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician - Electrical. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, detail-oriented and has a strong understanding of electrical systems.   1. Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal functioning and longevity.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  3. Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as wires, motors, and switches.
  4. Install new electrical systems and equipment as needed.
  5. Follow safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical systems.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance and repairs.
  7. Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical technology and equipment.
  9. Monitor and report any potential hazards or safety concerns related to electrical systems.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding maintenance needs, repairs, and updates.
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  13. Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  14. Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet maintenance deadlines.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications

  • Relevant Education And Training: A Maintenance Technician- Electrical At Westrock Should Have A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or A Related Field. In Addition, They Should Have Completed Relevant Training Programs Or Certifications In Electrical Maintenance.

  • Strong Electrical Troubleshooting Skills: This Position Requires A Candidate Who Has A Strong Understanding Of Electrical Systems And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Diagnose Issues Quickly And Effectively. This Includes Knowledge Of Electrical Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, And The Ability To Use Testing Equipment.

  • Experience In Industrial Maintenance: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Industrial Maintenance, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Production Environment. This Experience Should Include Working With Electrical Systems, Equipment, And Machinery.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Standards: Maintaining A Safe Work Environment Is A Top Priority At Westrock. Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Electrical Safety Standards And Regulations, As Well As Experience In Implementing Safety Protocols And Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Maintenance Technician- Electrical, It Is Important To Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Other Team Members And Departments. This Includes The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Maintenance Technicians And Engineers To Solve Complex Issues And Complete Projects Efficiently.
