  1. Safely operate a forklift to move materials throughout the facility.
  2. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating the forklift.
  3. Inspect and maintain the forklift to ensure proper functioning.
  4. Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
  5. Keep accurate records of materials moved and locations.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate material movement.
  7. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  8. Follow all company policies and procedures regarding forklift operation.
  9. Uphold WestRock's commitment to excellence and high-quality standards.
  10. Attend and participate in training and development opportunities.
  11. Operate other equipment and machinery as needed.
  12. Adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines.
  13. Report any issues or malfunctions with the forklift immediately.
  14. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  15. Continuously monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
  16. Assist in other areas of the facility as needed.
  17. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  18. Complete all assigned tasks accurately and within designated timeframes.
  19. Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Forklift Operator Certification: Candidates Should Possess A Valid Forklift Operator Certification From An Accredited Training Program.

  • Experience Operating Different Types Of Forklifts: Westrock May Require A Forklift Operator To Work With Various Types Of Forklifts, Such As Electric, Propane, Or Diesel-Powered. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Experience Operating Different Types Of Forklifts.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: Forklift Operators Should Be Knowledgeable About Safety Procedures And Be Able To Follow Them Strictly. This Includes Wearing The Necessary Safety Gear, Adhering To Weight Limits, And Conducting Routine Safety Checks On The Forklift.

  • Physical Fitness: Forklift Operators May Be Required To Work In Physically Demanding Environments, Such As Loading And Unloading Heavy Materials. Therefore, Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift Heavy Objects.

  • Attention To Detail: Forklift Operators Need To Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure Materials Are Handled And Stored Correctly. This Includes Being Able To Accurately Read And Follow Instructions, And Having Good Spatial Awareness To Avoid Accidents.
