Forklift operator 2nd Shift

- Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently move materials throughout the facility.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, storage areas, and production lines using a forklift.
- Secure materials onto forklift using appropriate attachments and follow proper safety protocols.
- Transport materials to designated areas within the facility, following designated routes and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of materials movement and inventory.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate material movement and ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and forklift equipment.
- Assist with other warehouse and production tasks as needed.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic as a valuable member of the 2nd shift team.
- Continuously strive for efficiency and productivity improvements in forklift operations.
- Attend training and meetings as required to maintain and improve job skills.
- Follow company guidelines for quality and productivity standards.
Valid Forklift Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Forklift Certification From An Accredited Training Program, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Skills In Operating A Forklift Safely And Efficiently.
Prior Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Operating A Forklift In A Warehouse Or Manufacturing Setting. This Experience Should Include Loading And Unloading Materials, Organizing And Stacking Pallets, And Navigating Tight Spaces.
Physical Fitness: A Forklift Operator Job Requires Physical Stamina And Strength, As The Candidate Will Be Required To Lift Heavy Objects, Climb On And Off The Forklift, And Stand For Long Periods. The Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
Attention To Detail: Forklift Operators Need To Pay Close Attention To Their Surroundings To Avoid Accidents And Ensure The Safe Movement Of Materials. The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Follow Safety Protocols And Procedures Accurately.
Communication Skills: As A Forklift Operator, The Candidate Will Be Working In A Team Environment And Need To Communicate Effectively With Other Team Members, Supervisors, And Warehouse Managers. Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role.
