- Operate die cutting equipment to produce high-quality packaging products according to company standards and client specifications.
- Set up and adjust die cutting equipment, including loading and unloading materials, changing dies, and adjusting settings to ensure efficient and accurate production.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure all products meet company standards and customer expectations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment malfunctions or issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regularly cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth production process and timely completion of orders.
- Continuously monitor and improve production processes to increase efficiency and quality.
- Keep accurate records of production data and any issues or concerns that arise during the production process.
Experience In Operating Die Cutting Machinery: Candidates For This Position Should Possess A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Operating Die Cutting Machinery, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Packaging Environment. This Includes Knowledge Of Set-Up, Adjustments, And Troubleshooting Of The Equipment.
Knowledge Of Die Cutting Techniques And Materials: A Die Cut Operator At Westrock Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Die Cutting Techniques And Materials, Including Paper, Cardboard, And Plastics. This Includes Knowledge Of Die Layouts, Cutting Speeds, And Feed Rates To Ensure Accurate And Efficient Production.
Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings: The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings Is Essential For A Die Cut Operator At Westrock. This Includes The Ability To Understand And Follow Die Layouts, Job Tickets, And Other Technical Documents To Ensure The Correct Setup And Production Of Die Cutting Jobs.
Attention To Detail And Quality Control: A Die Cut Operator Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And A Strong Focus On Quality Control. This Includes The Ability To Inspect Finished Products For Accuracy And Quality, And Make Adjustments As Needed To Ensure That All Products Meet Customer Specifications.
Physical Stamina And Dexterity: The Role Of A Die Cut Operator Requires Physical Stamina And Dexterity, As It Involves Standing For Long Periods Of Time, Lifting Heavy Materials, And Operating Machinery.
