Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician Journeyman to join the Westar Energy team. As an Electrician Journeyman, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.The ideal candidate for this position must possess a Journeyman Electrician license, as well as at least 5 years of experience in the electrical industry. You must be highly skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics, as well as be knowledgeable of electrical codes and safety regulations. We are looking for someone who is a team player, self-motivated, and has excellent problem-solving skills.If you have a passion for electrical work and are looking for a new opportunity with an established company, then this is the perfect job for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with relevant regulations and codes.
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  3. Ensure that all electrical systems are up-to-date, safe, and functioning properly.
  4. Inspect electrical systems for functionality and safety.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
  6. Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times.
  7. Collaborate with other electricians and team members to complete projects.
  8. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  9. Stay informed and up-to-date with the latest electrical technology.
  10. Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed.
