Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Revenue Integrity Specialist to join the West Virginia United Health System team. This position is responsible for ensuring that all revenue-related activities are in compliance with state and federal regulations. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills. If you have a passion for healthcare and are committed to helping us maintain our high standards of service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field• At least three years of experience in healthcare finance, coding, auditing, or revenue integrity• Demonstrated knowledge of medical coding, revenue cycle, and billing processes• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain revenue integrity processes and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  2. Monitor revenue-related activities for accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  3. Investigate and resolve revenue integrity issues.
  4. Perform audits of revenue-related activities to ensure accuracy.
  5. Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and potential areas of fraud or abuse.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare finance, coding, auditing, and revenue integrity regulations.
  7. Prepare and present reports to stakeholders on revenue integrity-related activities.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective revenue cycle processes.
  9. Train and mentor other staff members on revenue integrity processes and procedures.
  10. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in revenue integrity.
