Job Description

West Virginia United Health System is seeking a compassionate and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team. We are a hospital dedicated to providing top-notch care to our patients, and we are looking for an individual who can help us to continue to do so. To be successful in this role, you must have a commitment to excellent patient care as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and have current state licensure. A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential for this position. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and assess patient respiratory care plans.
  2. Develop patient treatment plans in coordination with other healthcare professionals.
  3. Administer and monitor respiratory care procedures as ordered by physicians.
  4. Educate patients and their families on the use of respiratory care equipment and treatments.
  5. Maintain patient medical records and filing systems.
  6. Maintain and update knowledge of current standards in respiratory therapy.
  7. Participate in quality improvement activities.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures.
  9. Maintain clean and organized work environment.
  10. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
