Job Description

West Virginia United Health System is currently searching for a Registration Specialist- Patient Access to join our team. Our goal is to maintain the highest level of patient satisfaction through quality customer service. This role will be responsible for registering patients in a timely and accurate manner, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring all patients receive a warm and welcoming experience.To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and have strong computer proficiency. Additionally, you must have high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in registrar/patient access or similar role are preferred.If you are a customer service-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient experiences, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Registers patients in a timely and accurate manner
  2. Provides excellent customer service and ensures all patients receive a warm and welcoming experience
  3. Multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment
  4. Possesses excellent communication and customer service skills
  5. Has strong computer proficiency
  6. Follows all applicable laws and regulations
  7. Maintains patient information confidentiality
  8. Provides accurate information to patients regarding insurance coverage and payment options
  9. Processes incoming/outgoing calls in a courteous and professional manner
  10. Updates patient information in the system
  11. Resolves customer inquiries in a timely manner
  12. Assists in resolving any patient issues related to registration and payment
  13. Monitors and records patient satisfaction levels
  14. Completes all pre-registration paperwork and processes as needed
