Job Description

West Virginia United Health System is seeking a highly organized and experienced Paramedic Communication Specialist to join our team of medical professionals. We are looking for someone with a passion for helping others and a commitment to our mission of providing the highest quality of care to our patients. The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of medical terminology and medical emergency response protocols, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Receive, interpret, and respond to incoming emergency calls from patients and other medical professionals.
  2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and medical emergency response protocols.
  3. Follow established protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
  4. Provide accurate and timely medical advice and instructions to patients over the phone.
  5. Monitor patient progress and contact additional medical personnel as needed.
  6. Collaborate with medical teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  7. Document all calls and relevant patient information.
  8. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  9. Remain calm and collected during stressful situations.
  10. Provide support to other medical staff members as needed.
