
Paramedic Communication Specialist
West Virginia United Health System is seeking a highly organized and experienced Paramedic Communication Specialist to join our team of medical professionals. The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of medical terminology and medical emergency response protocols, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Receive, interpret, and respond to incoming emergency calls from patients and other medical professionals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and medical emergency response protocols.
- Follow established protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Provide accurate and timely medical advice and instructions to patients over the phone.
- Monitor patient progress and contact additional medical personnel as needed.
- Collaborate with medical teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Document all calls and relevant patient information.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Remain calm and collected during stressful situations.
- Provide support to other medical staff members as needed.
