
Mental Health Specialist
We are looking for a Mental Health Specialist to join our West Virginia United Health System team. This role is essential in helping us provide quality care to our patients and ensure their mental health needs are met. The ideal candidate will have not only a deep knowledge of mental health issues, but also a strong commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for making a difference. To be successful in this role, you must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and the ability to think critically and problem solve. You must also be organized and have the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. You must also have a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field and be licensed in the state of West Virginia or be eligible for licensure. We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to helping our patients and providing them with the best care possible. Responsibilities: • Provide patient-centered mental health care and support to individuals, families, and communities in West Virginia • Develop individualized treatment plans to meet the specific needs of patients • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address mental health issues • Provide crisis intervention and assessment services as needed • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care • Keep accurate and detailed records of patient visits and progress • Remain up to date on the latest advancements in mental health research and treatment • Provide education and resources for families and caregivers of patients • Participate in professional growth activities and continuing education programs to maintain licensure
