Job Description

West Virginia United Health System is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and hardworking Landscape Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Landscape Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and attractive landscape for the hospital and its surrounding grounds. You will be the first line of defense in creating and maintaining a safe and pleasant outdoor environment for our patients, families, and staff.To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or GED, experience in landscaping and groundskeeping, and a valid driver’s license. You must also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a passion for working outdoors. An eye for detail and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.If you are a driven and committed professional with a love for the outdoors, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a safe and attractive landscape for the hospital and its surrounding grounds.
  2. Ensure the outdoor environment is safe and pleasant for patients, families, and staff.
  3. Follow all safety protocols and procedures for groundskeeping activities.
  4. Work independently and with a team to complete landscaping and groundskeeping duties.
  5. Monitor the landscape for potential safety and maintenance issues.
  6. Utilize power tools and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  7. Accurately document work performed and report any needed repairs.
  8. Keep accurate records of supplies and materials used.
  9. Follow up on any customer requests or complaints.
  10. Maintain and develop relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
