
Insurance Claims Specialist
West Virginia United Health System is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Claims Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our Finance Department, the Insurance Claims Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely insurance claims processing. The successful candidate must have excellent problem-solving and organization skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a healthcare setting and a strong understanding of insurance billing and claims processing procedures. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process insurance claims in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure accuracy of billing information and verify eligibility of patients for insurance coverage.
- Analyze and resolve complex insurance claims issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance billing and coding regulations and procedures.
- Communicate with insurance providers regarding payment status and other inquiries.
- Monitor and follow up on unpaid insurance claims.
- Assist with audits and other insurance related functions.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve insurance claims processing efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of insurance claims processing activities.
