Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Floor Technician to join our team at West Virginia United Health System. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful Floor Technician will need to have the following qualifications: strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Responsibilities:

  1. Clean and maintain floors in a healthcare setting according to established guidelines and safety protocols.
  2. Vacuum, sweep, and mop all areas of the hospital.
  3. Perform deep-cleaning of hard-surface floors and carpets.
  4. Clean and disinfect bathrooms, hallways, and other common areas.
  5. Perform regular inspections of the facility to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  6. Follow proper protocols for waste disposal and other safety protocols.
  7. Respond quickly to spills and other messes.
  8. Maintain supplies and equipment in proper working order.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to all patients, staff, and visitors.
  10. Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other staff members.
