Job Description

The West Virginia United Health System is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Support Analyst to join our team of professionals. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing excellent customer service and financial support to our members. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical abilities with good communication and organizational skills and must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.This position requires a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the healthcare sector. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field is also required. The ideal candidate will also have experience with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies
  2. Monitor financial activities and provide reports to upper management
  3. Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain general ledger accounts
  4. Prepare financial statements, cash flow statements, and other reports
  5. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  6. Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments
  7. Develop and implement financial processes and procedures
  8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  9. Serve as a point of contact for all financial inquiries from internal and external customers
  10. Provide customer service and support to members of the West Virginia United Health System
