Job Description

The West Virginia United Health System is looking for an experienced and dedicated Educator - Home Health to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing education and support to our home health staff and patients.The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong understanding of best practices in home health education, a passion for helping others, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In addition to these qualifications, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.If you have a commitment to quality care, a positive attitude, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families, then we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement educational programs for home health staff and patients.
  2. Educate staff on best practices, guidelines, and regulations related to home health care.
  3. Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to staff and patients.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with home health staff and patients.
  5. Create and distribute educational materials related to home health care.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  7. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of home health programs.
  8. Provide guidance to staff and respond to inquiries from patients and their families.
  9. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and education.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality care.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License

  • Bachelor's Degree In Education

  • Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience As A Home Health Educator

  • Knowledge Of Principles Of Adult Education

  • Proven Ability To Collaborate With Healthcare Professionals

  • Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Families

  • Proficiency In Using Computer Software Programs
