
Dental Assistant
At West Virginia United Health System, we are looking for a Dental Assistant who is motivated, organized, and passionate about providing excellent care for our patients. Our ideal candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanor, a desire to learn and grow, and an eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, plus successful completion of a dental assistant program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for providing chair side assistance to the dentist, sterilizing instruments, exposing and processing dental radiographs (x-rays), and taking and recording patient medical histories. Responsibilities:
- Provide chair side assistance to the dentist during dental procedures.
- Sterilize dental instruments.
- Expose and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
- Take and record patient medical histories.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with patients.
- Remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of dental procedures and protocols.
- Adhere to all applicable dental regulations and protocols.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
