Job Description

West Virginia United Health System is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Cytotechnologist to join our team. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who is passionate about delivering quality results and providing excellent patient care. As a Cytotechnologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests to analyze cellular changes and abnormalities.The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Medical Technology or Cytotechnology. In addition, we require you to be certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Cytotechnologist. You should also be knowledgeable about laboratory techniques and processes, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.At West Virginia United Health System, we believe in creating an environment that encourages collaboration and innovation. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform laboratory tests to analyze cellular changes and abnormalities
  2. Ensure accuracy of results and provide excellent patient care
  3. Remain up to date with the latest laboratory techniques and processes
  4. Maintain and update records and databases
  5. Collaborate with other technicians, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
  6. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
  7. Actively participate in training and education initiatives
  8. Assist with administrative tasks as needed
  9. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
  10. Provide guidance and support to junior technicians
