Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and organized Centralized Scheduler to join our Physician Office Center at West Virginia United Health System. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent multitasking skills to manage the scheduling of patient appointments and ensure the smooth running of our office.The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience in a medical office setting and have knowledge of medical terminology and coding. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and customer relations skills who is comfortable using electronic health record systems and has a pleasant phone manner. The chosen candidate must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and take initiative.We want someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is eager to work as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage patient appointment scheduling to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  2. Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers regarding scheduling.
  3. Utilize electronic health record systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  4. Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules as needed.
  5. Maintain organized records of patient appointments and follow-ups.
  6. Answer phone inquiries from patients and other medical professionals.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate a pleasant phone manner.
  8. Follow all policies and procedures of the health care system.
  9. Assist with additional clerical duties as needed.
  10. Utilize problem-solving skills to address issues efficiently and effectively.
