Job Description

As a Fiberglass Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks and trailers, ensuring that they are safe and in top working condition. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and has a strong understanding of fiberglass repair techniques. If you are passionate about the transportation industry and have the necessary qualifications, we would love to have you join our team.

  1. Conduct regular inspections of trucks and trailers to identify any fiberglass damage or wear and tear.
  2. Perform fiberglass repairs and replacements on damaged areas of trucks and trailers.
  3. Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures when working with fiberglass materials.
  4. Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies for fiberglass repairs.
  5. Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
  6. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on trucks and trailers.
  7. Troubleshoot and diagnose any issues related to fiberglass on trucks and trailers.
  8. Communicate with management and provide updates on repair progress and any potential issues.
  9. Proactively identify potential problems and suggest solutions to prevent future damage.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in fiberglass repair techniques.
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Comply with all safety regulations and protocols.
  14. Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
  15. Uphold a positive and professional attitude while representing the company to customers and vendors.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience With Fiberglass Repair And Maintenance: A Qualified Fiberglass Technician At Werner Enterprises Should Have A Strong Background In Repairing And Maintaining Fiberglass Materials. This May Include Experience With Sanding, Shaping, And Applying Fiberglass Resin And Gelcoat.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: Working With Fiberglass Materials Can Be Hazardous, So It Is Important For A Fiberglass Technician To Have Knowledge Of Safety Procedures And Precautions. This May Include Proper Handling And Storage Of Chemicals, As Well As The Use Of Protective Equipment.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings: Many Of The Repairs And Modifications Done By A Fiberglass Technician At Werner Enterprises Will Require The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings. This May Include Blueprints, Diagrams, And Other Technical Documents.

  • Attention To Detail: Fiberglass Repair Often Requires Precision And Attention To Detail In Order To Achieve A High-Quality Finish. A Qualified Fiberglass Technician Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Work With Precision To Ensure That Repairs Are Completed To The Highest Standard.

  • Physical Fitness And Dexterity: Working With Fiberglass Materials Can Be Physically Demanding, So A Fiberglass Technician At Werner Enterprises Should Possess A Good Level Of Physical Fitness And Dexterity. This May Include Being Able To Lift And Carry Heavy Materials, As Well As Having Good Hand-Eye Coordination For Intricate Repairs.
