Transfer Center Coordinator

1. Create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for transfer students at Washington State University.
2. Develop and implement programs and services that support the successful transition and integration of transfer students into the university community.
3. Serve as a primary point of contact for transfer students, providing them with accurate and timely information, resources, and guidance.
4. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders, including academic advisors, admissions counselors, and student organizations, to ensure a seamless transfer process for students.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transfer student needs and concerns, and proactively address any challenges or barriers they may face.
6. Coordinate and facilitate transfer student orientation sessions, workshops, and events to help students acclimate to the university.
7. Utilize data and feedback to continuously improve and enhance transfer student services and support.
8. Maintain accurate records and data related to transfer students, including tracking their progress and success at the university.
9. Serve as a liaison between transfer students and academic departments to ensure a smooth transfer of credits and facilitate academic advising.
10. Stay current on university policies and procedures related to transfer students and effectively communicate them to students and staff.
11. Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to promote transfer student resources and events.
12. Assist in the development of transfer student recruitment strategies and initiatives.
13. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed on best practices in supporting transfer students.
14. Serve as a positive and professional representative of the university when interacting with students, families, and community members.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
